Downtown sewer main break triggers city's spill response protocol

KAMLOOPS — City crews are busy repairing a sewer force main break in the 900-block of Lorne Street in downtown Kamloops this (Thursday) morning.

Utility Services Manager with the City of Kamloops Greg Wightman says work started last night.

Habitat for Humanity families complete Sweat Equity hours

KAMLOOPS — They have put hundreds of hours of their own time into helping volunteers build their home. Two Kamloops families set to move into the newest Habitat for Humanity duplex, have completed 500 hours of Sweat Equity and are now one step closer to moving in.

Downtown Kamloops Library branch closure moved up two days

KAMLOOPS — Bookworms beware: the Kamloops Public Library's downtown branch will be shutting down earlier than expected due to long-planned renovations.

Originally the branch was set to close Feb. 28, but it's been moved up to Feb. 26 with the last day of service set for Sunday Feb. 25.
