Kamloops unveils plans to celebrate Stanley Cup with Logan Stankoven
KAMLOOPS — Carolina Hurricanes forward and Kamloops Blazers alumnus Logan Stankoven is getting ready to celebrate his team’s Stanley Cup championship win with the City of Kamloops this month.
On Sunday, August 16, Stankoven will bring the Stanley Cup to Riverside Park to celebrate with his family, friends, and local fans in the place where his hockey journey began. The event will run between 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Rotary Bandshell.
“Our family is so excited to share the Stanley Cup with the Kamloops community and celebrate this incredible moment with everyone who has supported Logan along the way,” said Wes Stankoven, Logan’s father.
The free event will feature speakers, a highlight video, a live interview with Stankoven by Blazers play-by-play broadcaster Jon Keen and a large group photo with the Stanley Cup.
