Kate Hudson pregnant with Baby No. 3!

Surprise! Fans who’ve been missing seeing Kate Hudson‘s sunny face around now know why she’s been laying low. In a video Friday, the 38-year-old star shared that she and boyfriend Danny Fujikawa are expecting their first child together, Hudson’s third.

The pair shared the news via Instagram in a clip showing them and Hudson’s sons Bingham Hawn, 6, and Ryder Russell, 14, popping four balloons, which were filled with explosions of pink confetti.

• She captioned the video: “SURPRISE!!! If you’ve wondered why I’ve been so absent on my social channels it’s because I have never been more sick!”.
• She added, “[It] was the most sick first trimester of all my children. Boomerangs have made me nauseous, Superzoom is an easy way to have my head in the toilet, food Instagrams make me [queasy] and thinking too much about Insta stories made me even more exhausted than I already had been.”
• She added that she has finally “broken through” the cycle of sickness and is now just “crazy excited” to welcome a little girl with Fujikawa.
• Hudson shares son Ryder with Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson and Bingham with Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy.
