KAMLOOPS — RCMP investigators — including the canine unit — are looking for an erratic driving suspect in the area of Hillside Cemetery this afternoon, Oct. 11.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says at about 2:30 p.m., a member noticed the driver of a pickup truck driving erratically near the intersection of Summit Drive and Columbia Street.

When the officer tried to pull the truck over, the driver didn't stop.

Shelkie says the officer didn't pursue, but members closed in on the truck.

The driver left the truck running in front of Cobs Bread in the Summit Shopping Centre.

Video from the scene shows an RCMP member shutting off the running pickup.

Shelkie says searchers are now looking for the driver, as the truck is suspected to be stolen.

The suspect is described as a white male who discarded the hat and jacket he had been wearing earlier.
