Province now accepting referrals for private pot licences in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Good news for those wanting to pursue private pot licences in Kamloops.

The City of Kamloops announced today that referrals are now being accepted from Victoria for private Cannabis Retail Business Licences in Kamloops.

According to the city, the BC Provincial Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch is responsible for licensing private, non-medical cannabis retail businesses.

“Any application for a private cannabis retail business in Kamloops must be reviewed by this provincial authority before it is referred to the city,” says the city, adding “private operators are expected to be familiar with the federal, provincial, and municipal regulations, and applications will be required to go through the city’s official permitting process.”
