Train tracks death not considered suspicious

SALMON ARM — A man in Salmon Arm is dead after a fatal rail incident.

RCMP said that an adult male “took actions that resulted in a collision with a train while on foot” on Friday, July 7. The incident took place east of the intersection of Tappen Beach Road and the train tracks at approximately 8 p.m.

Police say the man died from injuries and that his death is not suspicious.
