KAMLOOPS — A chip off the old block?   Maybe.

Jackson Niedermayer has committed to play for the Penticton Vees next season.

The 17-year old is the son of Hockey Hall of Fame’er and former Kamloops Blazer Scott Niedermayer.

While his father was a defenceman, Jackson plays forward, scoring 23 goals and 42 points in 34 games with the Anaheim Jr. Ducks U-16 team last season.
