Former Blazers defenceman Fora signs with NHL Carolina Hurricanes

KAMLOOPS — Former Blazers defenceman Michael Fora has signed with the Carolina Hurricanes.

Fora has played the last three seasons in Switzerland after spending the 2014-15 season with the Blazers.

His Carolina contract will pay $650,000 next season if he plays in the NHL, and $70,000 in the American League.

It also comes with a $100,000 signing bonus.

Fora scored 6 goals and 32 points in 60 games in his one season with the Blazers.

In his three seasons in the Swiss League he’s tallied 10 goals and 42 points in 132 games.

Fora played for Switzerland at the recent World Hockey Championship, helping the team to a silver medal.

His agent is former Blazers player Hnat Domenichelli.
