Wallet thief goes on North Shore spending spree

KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops resident is out over $500 after a thief made off with his wallet this week.

Kamloops Crime Stoppers says the wallet was stolen at around 5:00 a.m. Monday morning in the central North Kamloops area.

“IDs and cards were taken. Tap-to-pay debit and credit cards were used between 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. at various businesses on the North Shore amounting to over $550 dollars in gift cards and merchandise.”

The suspect was seen using one of the stolen cards at a convenience store on Tranquille Road at approximately 6:00 a.m.
