Doan joins NHL Hockey Operations Department

KAMLOOPS — Shane Doan is back in the game — but not as a player.

Doan is joining the NHL Hockey Operations Department.

He’ll work closely with Vice President of Hockey Operations Colin Campbell.

The NHL says Doan will work with hockey executives at the club level and will be involved with the competition committee.

After spent his entire 21-year playing career with the Winnipeg Jets/Arizona Coyotes franchise, Doan wasn’t offered a new contract after last season.
