Police involved shooting case forwarded to Crown Counsel

CANOE, B.C. — Crown Counsel now has the file on the shooting of an armed robbery suspect in Canoe near Salmon Arm two years ago.

The Independent Investigations Office says in a release, it has submitted a report to Crown for consideration of charges against the officer involved.

Police responded July 3rd, 2015 to reports of a gas station robbery near Sicamous.

A suspect was tracked down by a police dog and the shooting took place during an altercation with two different officers.
