Okanagan Lake hits 1948 record level
VERNON, B.C. — Okanagan Lake is hitting a record high.
The lake rose above the 343 metre mark set in 1948 late yesterday afternoon.
Officials monitoring the lake say it’s been fluctuating just a drip above or below, but with the warmer weather this weekend it is likely to set a new record.
The city of Vernon says BX Creek is down from earlier, but could rise quickly with the expected snow melt.
