KAMLOOPS — Changes to the city’s Security Alarm Bylaw have been approved by city council.

Stiffer fines will be imposed on Kamloops residents and business owners that are the subjects of repeated false alarm calls to the RCMP.

The fee schedule will remain the same for first time false alarms, but the fines will increase up to $1,000 for the third false alarm per calendar year.
