
Two men arrested in separate Quesnel drug busts
QUESNEL, B.C. — Mounties in Quesnel arrested two men in a pair of recent drug busts.
The first bust occurred on May 30 after the Quesnel RCMP Crime Reduction Unit executed two search warrants on a residence and holiday trailer after conducting a drug trafficking investigation. The search resulted in the seizure of 170 grams of cocaine, 105 cartons of illegal cigarettes, assorted ammunition and cash. A Quesnel man was arrested at the scene and later released pending charge assessment by the Crown.
The second bust occurred on May 31, when members of the Crime Reduction Unit conducted a traffic stop on Front Street after observing a Quesnel man driving while prohibited. During the interaction, police entered into a drug investigation after noticing used drug paraphernalia and illegal cigarettes in the vehicle. A search incidental to the arrest resulted in the seizure of 388 grams of methamphetamine, 102 grams of fentanyl, 50 grams of cocaine, 12 gams of heroin and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking. The man was charged with driving while prohibited pending charge assessment by the Crown for drug related charges.
