KAMLOOPS — Tuesday (Aug. 15) will see a second day of planned ignitions around the Ross Moore Lake wildfire south of Kamloops.

The B.C. Wildfire Service says about 40 per cent of its planned ignition strategy was completed Monday, and the rest should be finished Tuesday if conditions allow.

Wind is expected to pick up in the Interior later Tuesday afternoon.

In an update to its website, the wildfire service says a large portion of the 7,200-hectare fire’s perimeter is in mop-up and patrol operations.
