Trial by fire for city councillors at KFR Training Centre
KAMLOOPS — Five members of Kamloops city council were put through their paces Wednesday (March 29) at Kamloops Fire Rescue’s (KFR) training centre. The spent the morning learning about the technical side of the job, before suiting up in the afternoon and battling a fire.
The experience has given the councillors a new appreciation for what KFR does everyday to protect Kamloops.
It wasn’t the KFR A-Team rolling out of the engine Wenesday, instead it was selection of Kamloops councillors with Katie Neustaeter riding shotgun and ringing the bell as they approached a car fire simulation.
