Westsyde residents welcome proposed changes to Westsyde Pool and Fitness Centre hours
KAMLOOPS — Plans are in the works to reshuffle operating hours and add programming at the Westsyde Pool and Fitness Centre in Kamloops to better meet the needs of the community.
Sherri Holmes, the city’s sport, recreation and wellness manager, said staff will be focused on making “practical changes” to better align how the facility is operated. It stems from a comprehensive operational review of the facility that was launched this year.
“The survey was done in June and July this year following a council request for us to try to find some cost efficiencies with the Westsyde Pool and Fitness Centre,” Holmes told CFJC. “We had a great response from community with almost 1,600 individuals who responded to that survey.”
