CRD looking to bolster Emergency Operations Centre with temporary contactors
WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — In the midst of an active wildfire season, the Cariboo Regional District (CRD) is looking to expand staffing in its Emergency Operations Centre (EOC).
The CRD said it is seeking Expressions of Interest from qualified individuals to provide temporary contract services to support the EOC during emergency activations.
This comes as the CRD has two active evacuation orders, and three active evacuation alerts in response to various wildfires raging across the region.
“Emergency activations may occur in response to wildfires, floods, landslides, severe weather, hazardous materials incidents, public health emergencies, or other emergencies affecting the Cariboo Regional District,” said the CRD.
