Ariana Grande scored her 10th Billboard Hot 100 number one single with “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” which debuted atop the chart. This marks her eighth debut at number one, tying Taylor Swift’s record among female artists. Grande produced and wrote the track with Ilya and Max Martin, extending Martin’s producer record to 28 number ones and his writer count to 30, behind only Paul McCartney’s 32. The song previews her eighth album Petal, releasing July 31st. Grande now ties Janet Jackson, Bruno Mars and Stevie Wonder for 10th-most Hot 100 toppers. Leading the all-time list are the Beatles with 20, followed by Mariah Carey with 19. Other chart positions include Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” at number two, Drake’s “Janice STFU” at three, Langley’s “Be Her” at four, and Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might” completing the top five.
