KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops says Barnhartvale’s water is safe to drink once again after being on a ‘do not consume’ order for over a week.
Kamloops officials said undergoing specialized and rigorous testing results have allowed the last remaining water advisories in place due to the May 10 water main break to be be lifted.
On May 10, the city detected a leak in a valve near the Kamloops Centre for Water Quality on River Street, which escalated to a water main break.
City crews have completed repairs and the water is confirmed to be safe for consumption as the city lifts the last remaining water advisories.
