All east Kamloops neighbourhoods but Barnhartvale cleared to use water as normal

KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops says all neighbourhoods in east Kamloops except for Barnhartvale have been cleared to use and consume their tap water as normal.
In city updated its website Monday morning (May 18), saying water for Campbell Creek, Valleyview, Dallas, Rose Hill and Juniper Ridge has been tested and proven safe.
Barnhartvale, however, remains under a ‘do not consume’ order. There is no word when that may be lifted.
Various restrictions have been in place since May 10, when a leak was detected in a valve near the Kamloops Centre for Water Quality on River Street. That leak quickly grew to a full-fledged water main break, which proved challenging to repair for city crews.
