Dunstone secures No. 2 seed in Pool B at the Brier, prepares for playoff match against Gushue
ST. JOHN’S — Kamloops skip Matt Dunstone is entering the playoffs at the Brier in St. John’s, Newfoundland on a winning note.
On Thursday (March 5), Dunstone and Team Manitoba defeated Mike McEwen and Team Saskatchewan 6-3 in the final day of round robin play at the men’s national curling championship.
Dunstone and his team finished with a 7-1 record to put them second in Pool B standings.
The Kamloops skip and his rink will play the equivalent of an away game in curling. Dunstone will play the top team in Pool A, six-time Brier champion Brad Gushue and 8-0 Team Newfoundland in the 1A v. 2B playoff match.
