Former Blazers captain Minten signs seven-year extension with Bruins
BOSTON — Another former Kamloops Blazers captain has secured a hefty, long-term contract extension in the National Hockey League (NHL).
The Boston Bruins announced Tuesday (Sept. 8) they’ve re-signed center Fraser Minten to a seven-year, $50.4 million extension worth an annual cap hit of $7.2 million.
Minten is currently serving the final year of his entry-level contract and this extension takes him through the 2033-34 season.
“Since joining our organization, Fraser has continued to grow and earn the accelerated trust of his teammates and coaching staff,” Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said in a news release.
