KAMLOOPS — Kamloops and area drivers planning to head east for Family Day long weekend traveling may need to wait for most of Saturday (Feb. 19).
DriveBC says the Trans Canada Highway from Townley Street and 14th Street in Revelstoke to Golden is closed due to avalanche control work. An estimated re-opening time is 4 p.m. Saturday. A detour is not available.
Environment Canada says the Pacific frontal system that will bring 20 to 25 centimetres or snow to some B.C. Interior Highways by Sunday (Feb. 20) morning also impacts the Trans Canada Highway from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass.
