Mount Timothy skier ticketed for refusing mask-wearing instructions

LAC LA HACHE, B.C. — You might think a ski hill would be an easy place to wear a mask, but one woman at the Mount Timothy Ski Resort near Lac la Hache found it a step too far.
On Dec. 28, 100 Mile House RCMP received a report that a 37-year-old woman was inside the ski lodge and refusing to wear a mask in compliance with the COVID-19 Related Measures Act.
The woman allegedly became confrontational with staff and caused a disturbance. RCMP say she produced a medical exemption card, but “it appeared to lack information to assure its validity.”
Staff at the resort asked the woman to leave and eventually, she did.
