B.C. sees 223 new COVID-19 cases; outbreak at Kelowna school grows
VICTORIA — B.C. has eclipsed 200 COVID-19 for the third consecutive day.
In a news release, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says there have been 223 new cases of COVID-19 recorded Friday (Oct. 23), including 18 new cases within Interior Health.
There have now been 12,554 cases of the virus since the pandemic was declared in B.C., spread through the province as follows:
- 4,319 — Vancouver Coastal (up by 59)
- 6,864 — Fraser Health (up by 144)
- 250 — Island Health (up by 1)
- 662 — Interior Health (up by 18)
- 371 — Northern Health (up by 6)
- 88 — Reside outside of Canada (unchanged)
