Blazers drop Cougars in OT, win 10th straight game in Prince George
KAMLOOPS — 60 minutes wasn’t enough in Prince George Sunday afternoon, as the Kamloops Blazers needed OT to win their 10th in a row on CN Centre ice.
The Blazers never led in the contest, as the Cougars opened the scoring just over 8 minutes into in the 2nd period on Josh Maser’s 18th goal of the year.
Montana Onyebuchi answered for the Blazers just 26 seconds later to tie the game at one, but before the middle frame ended Matej Toman picked up his 5th of the year to give Prince George a 2-1 lead.
The Blazers would equalize mid-way through the third period, as Martin Lang picked up his second goal in as many games on CN Centre ice.
