New Life Community Kamloops executive director stepping down

KAMLOOPS — The public face of local non-profit agency New Life Community Kamloops has announced he’s stepping down.

Executive Director Stan Dueck is retiring and will depart the position in April. He informed the mission’s board of directors of his decision last fall.

“It was a tough decision for me to make,” Dueck says. “This organization has become a big piece of my heart, but there comes a time when you’re looking at what you and your team have accomplished and what’s ahead and you know that the organization would be best served by a new leader who can take New Life Community Kamloops to that next level.”

“Stan has been such an incredible asset to our team,” notes New Life Director Kelly Thomson. “He came into a situation where we were struggling financially, found ways to control costs, and led the work to amplify our organization’s awareness of the incredible work we do to help those in our community who are homeless, hungry and hurting. Because of Stan’s leadership, we are on good financial footing and are ready for the next steps in a fresh new vision.”
