THE VIEWS AT TOBIANO

Sometimes the name says it all. “The Views at Tobiano” is the name of a new golf lodge and accommodation project for Tobiano, located just west of Kamloops on the Trans Canada Highway.

According to North American Development Group owner-partner Henry Bereznicki, it’s an opportunity of a lifetime. “We’re creating an opportunity to invest in one of the most spectacular areas in the province. It’s a great place to live, and a chance be on the ground floor of a major development.”

Bereznicki says the owners want to develop a 17-unit complex that will give owners a chance to live in the facility, but when they’re not there, the units will become part of a vacation rental pool that will allow visitors to come and golf, and enjoy a first-class facility. Tobiano has been recognized as one of the top golf courses in the country and Bereznicki says this new development will only enhance what is already there.

“It’s a great golf course, but the real need is for a place to stay,” he says. “This new development means visitors can come and spend some time golfing and relaxing, and not have to drive back and forth to the city every day. That’s a huge plus for us, and it’s typical of what’s happening at many similar resorts across the country.”

Bereznicki says each of the units in the complex will be of top-notch quality, with two layouts that will be ideal for both families and groups of golfers who might like to get a few days away. He adds “we’ll have a couple of large hot tubs to relax in, outdoor fire pits to enjoy in the evenings, and accents that will appeal to everyone. And when you walk out the door in the morning, you’ll be only a few steps from the golf course and all the amenities of the area. “

The idea is to pre-sell about half of the units. When that happens, the owners will be ready to build the entire structure. “The initial pre-sell phase will give us an opportunity to test the market and ensure we’re heading in the right direction,” Bereznicki says, with a hint of excitement in his voice. “We have a tremendous setting here, people will have a great view of the lake and the course, and aside from golf, Tobiano has a great marina for access to Kamloops Lake, world class fishing, hiking and biking. You can’t beat it.”

The owners at Tobiano know that with so many golf courses in the B.C. Interior, the new project at Tobiano makes it even easier for enthusiasts to include Tobiano into a holiday tour second to none. Interest in golf is increasing yearly, so a project of this type just makes good sense. Bereznicki says “people want to have a destination, where they can come, set up for a few days, and just enjoy life, play a little golf, walk around in a beautiful setting, then move on to another facility.”

“We’re really fortunate”, says Bereznicki, “in that we have zoning here that allows the owners to live in their unit, and yet be able to put it into a vacation rental pool so that it can be used by others as well. That’s part of what makes this development so attractive. “

Each unit of the new development will be around 900-1000 square feet, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, fully furnished and ready to enjoy.

“What more can I say,” laughs Bereznicki. “We’ve got a great opportunity here, and we’re looking forward to growing with this great area, and providing another amenity to our first class facility at Tobiano.”
