Nicole Kidman’s Superpower

Jan 30, 2018 | 5:30 AM

Those with weak stomachs should turn away. Screen siren Nicole Kidman unveiled an unexpected new talent: eating gross creepy-crawlies.

In the latest installment of Vanity Fair‘s Secret Talent Theatre, the Big Little Lies star chows down on a four-course meal of “micro-livestock.”

  • First up, living horn worms. Using chopsticks, she pops one in her mouth like it’s buttered popcorn. “Mmm…extraordinary,” she says.
  • Next up, meal worms, crickets, and for dessert, fried grasshoppers. “Just a little side note,” Kidman says. “Two billion people in the world eat bugs…and I’m one of them.”
  • Kidman isn’t the only star who doesn’t bug when bugs are on the menu. Angelina Jolie and her twins Knox and Vivienne have also memorably feasted on crickets, tarantulas and scorpions.
