KATY PERRY, CATHOLIC CHURCH WIN $10 MILLION IN CONVENT CASE LAWSUIT: Katy Perry and the Catholic Church were named victors in a court case against real estate developer Dana Hollister on Monday. The pop star sued the developer and a jury sided with Perry, agreeing Hollister interfered with Perry’s planned $14.5 million purchase of an empty convent in California’s Los Feliz neighborhood. The court ruled that Hollister acted with malice against Perry and the church and as a result, both parties were awarded $10 million in damages which they will split. Perry first tried to purchase the property from the Archdiocese in 2015. Before the sale was finalized, the Sisters of the Most Holy and Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary decided to sell the eight-acre property to Hollister. Shortly after, the Archdiocese sued, claiming ownership over all assets belonging to the Sisters.

CHARLIE PUTH SELLING HOLLYWOOD HOME: Charlie Puth is selling his Hollywood home for just under $2.2 million. He bought the property in December of 2015 for $1.9 million, and then six months later, put it back up for sale for $2.12 million. When it didn’t sell, the price was dropped to just under $2 million, before being taken off the market. Now it’s back. Charlie’s looking to finally unload the property after upgrading to a $9 million mansion last month. According to Variety, Charlie’s new place has three bedrooms, plus staff quarters, as well as three full and two half baths. It also features a skylight-topped entrance way, a living room with a wet bar, a sunken lounge with a fireplace, and grounds that feature a heated swimming pool and spa, a fire pit and terraces.

BTS MOST-TWEETED ABOUT MUSIC ARTISTS IN 2017: K-pop boy band BTS tops Twitter’s list of the most-mentioned music artists in America for 2017. That’s despite the fact that the group’s single, “MIC Drop,” just became their first-ever top-40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. In fact, the song, which debuted at #28, is the highest-charting entry for a K-pop group ever. The televised event that received the most second-most number of tweets of the year was the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, largely because of BTS’ appearance on the show. Nicki Minaj was the second-most tweeted-about artist of the year, followed by Harry Styles, Chance the Rapper, and Niall Horan.
