BC Wildfire Service en route to fire near Chase

CHASE, B.C. — Details are scant, but the BC Wildfire Service is en route to help battle a blaze near Chase.

“We are assisting the local fire department and have six crew members en route,” said Jody Lucius, fire information officer with the Kamloops Fire Centre.

She added there is no more information about the fire right now, including what caused it.

Lucius did say if anyone does see a fire to call 1-800-663-5555 or *5555 on a cellphone.
