PRINCE GEORGE — The mystery surrounding a missing Prince George woman has deepened after her dog and vehicle were found near Ashcroft.

According to RCMP in that northern BC city, 61 year old Jenny Lynn Larocque was reported missing on October 3.

Larocque had been last seen in Williams Lake on September 27, and it was believed she may have been headed toward the Fraser Valley to visit family.

Last Sunday, October 15, the woman’s dog was found in the Venables Valley area south of Ashcroft.

Kamloops Search and Rescue volunteers were called in Monday to help RCMP searchers, and the operation did lead to Larocque’s vehicle, which was found stuck on a rural road.

Searchers have worked tirelessly to find the woman since then, and though the search was suspended today, it is expected to resume tomorrow.

Description of Jenny Larocque:

  • Caucasian female
  • 160 cm (5’3”)
  • 45 kg (99 lbs)
  • Green eyes
  • Brown hair

Anyone who has seen Larocque or knows anything about her disappearance is asked to contact RCMP in detachments in Prince George or Ashcroft, or Crime Stoppers.
