KAMLOOPS — The TNRD is asking evacuees to hold off on their Emergency Social Services renewal unless it expires today.

Information Officer Debbie Sell says by doing so staff and volunteers will have more time to manage the influx of evacuees from Williams Lake.

The TNRD Emergency Reception Centre was moved from TRU to the Sandman Centre as of Saturday to accomodate the growing numerber of evacuees flowing into Kamloops.

A reminder that evacuees only need to register with Emergency Social Services if they require food and lodging.

All evacuees are requireed to register with the Canadian Red Cross in order to receive provincial funding.

The registration does not require constant renewal.

The Red Cross number is 1-800-863-6582.
