VICTORIA —  A memorial will be held today to mark one year since an R-C-M-P officer was killed when her police cruiser was hit in an intersection near Victoria.

Mounties will remember Constable Sarah Beckett at a service outside the Langford detachment at noon.

The 32 year-old was an 11-year member of the force, and left behind a husband and two children.

Kenneth Fenton — the man accused of broadsiding Beckett’s vehicle — faces five charges, including impaired driving causing death and flight from police causing death.
