KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops woman has had her lottery dream come true after scratching a winning Set for Life ticket.

A news release from the BC Lottery Corporation says Melody Manuel chose to receive $1,000 every week for the next 25 years.

Manuel received the ticket as a birthday gift from her husband, who purchased the winning ticket at the Paul Lake Husky gas station.

She says her priorities include paying off debt, and buying a home, a vehicle, and "a nice vacation."

Severe thunderstorm watch continued Tuesday in Kamloops and the Shuswap
