KAMLOOPS — Karla Thompson  has suffered her first loss at the B.C. women's curling playdowns.

The Thompson skipped Kamloops Curling Centre rink lost 11-7 to Royal City's Amy Gibson this morning.

At 5-and-1 Thompson has already clinched a berth in the Page Playoffs, but with this mornings loss still hasn't locked up first place.

Six time B.C. champion Kelly Scott of Kelowna, at 5-and-1, has also clinched a playoff.

Scott and Thompson  meet in the final draw of the round robin to decide first and second for the Page Playoffs.

Four other rinks at 3-and-3 are in contention for the other two playoff berths.

Another Kamloops rink, skipped by Amanda Russett, and defending champion Patti Knezevic, both at 1-and-5, are out of playoff contention.
