KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Venom finished up a weekend split in junior lacrosse by squeezing out a 13-12 win over the Armstrong Shamrocks.
Trey Dergousoff, one of four midget call-ups for the Venom, led the home charge with five goals.
On Saturday the Venom lost 14-1 to the Vernon Tigers, costing them a chance to move into first place.
It was only the second loss of the season for the Venom —- both against Vernon.
Vernon continues to lead by one point, and with a game in hand.
