VERNON — RCMP continue to say little after shots were fired into a Mission Hill home early yesterday in Vernon.

Police were called just before 2:30 am to a house in the 3800 block of 21st Avenue.

Witnesses reported that two vehicles sped away shortly after the gunfire.

When officers arrived, they found numerous bullet holes in the home, but no one there.

They say the home is known to them, but did not indicate why.

Shortly after the incident, reports came in of a vehicle on fire in the 7100 block of Tronson Road, just past Kin Beach.

Firefighters doused the flames and there was no sign of anyone being injured.

Police believe the vehicle is one of the two driven away from 21st Avenue.

They are investigating the two incidents as related and are asking anyone with information to give them a call at 250-545-7171 or via Crimestoppers at 1-80-222-8477.
