KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Break it down.

That’s the advice Boogie Coordinator Jo Berry is giving runners ahead of Sunday’s Boogie The Bridge that features a 5k, 10k, or 21k half-marathon run.

“If you’re doing the 5k, go easy for the first 2.5kms, then bring on the steam for the 2.5km back,” said Berry. “Same thing for the 10k run. Consider the first 5kms a warm-up, then treat the last 5kms as a run so you feel really great coming across the finish line.”

Every year hundreds of novice, casual, and seasoned runners take part in the community event, with proceeds going towards numerous organizations throughout the city.
