Bail denied for accused in baseball bat beating
KAMLOOPS — The man accused of beating 19-year-old Jessie Simpson with a baseball bat has been denied bail.
Kristopher Teichrieb was back at the Kamloops court house this morning as the judge read his decision.
The 39-year-old father of three was charged with attempted murder when he allegedly chased Simpson off his Brocklehurst property in the early morning hours of June 19, and assaulted him with a baseball bat.
Today’s decision to deny Teichrieb bail came as a relief to Christina Forde, a friend of the Simpson family.
