B.C. first in line for major transit upgrades as Trudeau hands over vowed cash

BURNABY, B.C. — British Columbia has become the first province to reap dollars for its transit system under the federal government’s ambitious multibillion-dollar infrastructure program, with more deals expected to be signed elsewhere in Canada next week.

Kamloops council to reconsider allowing wine sales in Save-On-Foods

KAMLOOPS — The debate over whether wine will be sold at the Sahali Save-On Foods store is far from over.

Last month, the grocery store was denied a variance allowing it to move the former Discover Wine VQA license inside its store.

Ready receives honorary degree, shares wisdom with TRU grads

KAMLOOPS — With a career spanning more than 40 years, Vince Ready has had little time to pursue post-secondary education. 

Today, June 9, the man responsible for mediating thousands of labour disputes was given an honorary degree from Thompson Rivers University.
