Are the Royals more “handsy”?

Fans have noticed that Kate Middleton and Prince William have been more … into each other of late. Now, royal watchers are opining that the established pair may feel more comfortable laying on the PDAs now that they’ve seen newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan Markle doing so (and watching the public eat it up).

“It’s unusual to see William taking the lead in terms of public touch rituals with Kate but on Remembrance Sunday he performed this back-touch ritual, even splaying his thumb out to signal a rather protective form of affection,” body language expert Judi James told the Daily Mail.

James also pointed to other recent examples, including one when Kate reached across a wide gulf to touch Will on the leg, a “very strong signal of attraction,” and two other public pawings at Princess Eugenie‘s wedding.

Meanwhile, according to a new poll from YouGov, Harry is (by far) the most popular royal, beating all of the other members of the Fab 4, the Queen and Prince Charles. A whopping 77% prefer Harry.
