ARIANA GRANDE HINTS SHE WON’T BE TOURING FOR A ‘LONG TIME’ With the huge success of Sweetener, fans have been waiting for news of an Ariana Grande tour. Unfortunately, fans are going to have to wait longer. When a fan account posted a meme about saving money for her next tour’s meet & greet on Instagram, Grande commented saying “u gonna be saving for a loooooooooooooong time ……” The comment has since been deleted. The singer is still healing from losing her ex and beloved friend Mac Miller, who passed away earlier this month from an apparent drug overdose. A statement given by her team to People magazine says that Grande will be taking time for herself as she deal with the painful loss. “Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much-needed time to heal and mend. She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding,” the statement reads. Besides grieving the loss of Miller, Grande has been vocal about struggling with PTSD caused by the terrorist attack at her Manchester show during her Dangerous Woman Tour last year. Even though fans won’t get to see Grande on tour soon, she assured fans “everything will be okay” in a tweet, expressing her appreciation for their support.

LAWSUIT AGAINST MARIAH CAREY OVER CANCELED SHOWS DISMISSED: A New York federal judge has dismissed several legal claims against Mariah Carey involving canceled concerts. In January of 2017, Mariah sued a South American promoter, saying because they didn’t pay her in timely manner, she had the legal right to cancel her shows in Argentina and Chile and still be paid in full. The promoter countersued for breach of contract, saying Carey couldn’t terminate their deal without giving them 48 hours’ notice. They also sued for defamation, claiming she’d defamed them on Twitter by complaining about situation. The judge has now tossed out the defamation claim against both Mariah and her company, Mirage Entertainment, as well as the breach of contract claim against Mariah. The latter will be allowed to proceed against her company, however.
