Children, almost certainly yes, but the question is, how many? That’s the question newlyweds Prince Harry, 35, and Meghan Markle, 36, have been contending with since news of their May 19^thnuptials broke.

In Dublin on Wednesday, one woman in the crowd of admirers gathering to greet the royals had a suggestion framed as a question: “My husband also has red hair and he gave me five children – when are you and Meghan going to get going?”

The woman told People magazine of his response: “He laughed and said ‘Five children? Too many.’ “

Still, fans who want a bambino sooner rather than later can cling to Harry’s previous comments to the BBC shortly after their engagement: “You know, one step at a time. Hopefully we’ll start a family in the near future.”
