IMAGINE DRAGONS’ DAN REYNOLDS FIGHTS FOR GAY MORMON YOUTH IN ‘BELIEVER’ TRAILER: The first trailer has been released for the HBO documentary Believer, from Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds. The film follows Dan’s journey to bridge the gap between his Mormon faith and the LGBTQ community. It shows him becoming an ally for gay Mormon youth and establishing Love Loud, a pro-LGBTQ music festival in Salt Lake City, Utah. In the trailer, Dan is seen reading leading a letter from a gay fan. “I know there are so many people like this,” he says. “If I’m passive, I feel like I am standing for bigotry.” Neon Trees’ Tyler Glenn, a former Mormon who’s openly gay, also appears in the documentary. Believer, named for Imagine Dragons’ 2017 hit song, will premiere June 25th on HBO. This year’s Love Loud festival will kick off on July 28th.
