Cardi B confirms pregnancy

Cardi B answered the question many have been asking during her second performance on Saturday Night Live this past weekend. After weeks of speculation, Bardi performed her new single, “Be Careful,” wearing a long, white tight-fitting ruched gown, which showed off her growing baby bump – confirming that she is expecting a child with fianc Offset. Following her performance, video footage was captured of Cardi in the ‘SNL’ greenroom area, where she exclaimed, “I’m finally free!”

She then took to Twitter and said, “I started winning when the whole world was doubting on me. think imma lose with my little baby counting on me?” Offset also confirmed the news and said, “C A R D I A N D I L O O K F O R W A R D T O O U R N E X T C H A P T E R T O G E T H E R T H A N K Y O U F O R A L L O F Y O U R S U P P O R T W E F E E L S O B L E S S E D.”

Cardi explained on Instagram Stories why she chose to hide her pregnancy. She said, “This is why I did not want to say nothing. People be so thirsty to scrutinize and try to destroy something that is supposed to be a blessing.” She later wrote on IG, “The love I’m receiving is overwhelming! I can’t thank you enough for always finding the time to share your support!! Thank you a million times @badgalriri”

If she debuts at No. 1, she will be the fifth female rapper to top the Billboard 200, following behind Nicki Minaj, Foxy Brown, Eve and Lauryn Hill. It’s worth noting that Invasion of Privacy went gold before it was even released. According to Billboard, due to “Bodak Yellow”‘s success, the project surpassed 500,000 units due to the technicality. The record has gone 5x platinum, which translates to 500,000 units for Invasion of Privacy. However, this will not impact her first week numbers.
