Adriana is Still and Angel!

Still an angel! Adriana Lima is not giving up her Victoria’s Secret wings anytime soon, despite her pledge to no longer strip down for “empty” causes, TMZ reports.

On Sunday, the Brazilian supermodel wrote a lengthy post on Instagram about why she turned down a sexy video shoot.

• Lima wrote: “I had received a call for the possibility of filming a sexy video of me to be posted and shared in social media. Even though I have done many of this type, something had changed in me, when a friend approached me to share that she was unhappy with her body, then it made me think…. that everyday in my life, I wake up thinking, how do I look? Was I going to be accepted in my job? And in that moment I realized that majority of woman probably wake up every morning trying to fit in a stereotype that society/socialmedia/fashion etc imposed…. i thought that’s not a way of living and beyond that…. that’s not physically and mentally healthy, so I decided to make that change….. I will not take of [sic] my clothes anymore for a empty cause…..” she wrote.
• Many assumed Lima meant she would no longer walk the Victoria’s Secret catwalk. She most recently walked her 18^th Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai, and TMZ and People are reporting that she believes the brand and the annual show empowers women.
• “As Adriana mentioned in her post she received a recent offer where she was not aligned with the direction,” a rep for the model tells PEOPLE. “Adriana is blessed to be able to work with all of the brands she does including Victoria’s Secret.”
