KAMLOOPS — The new executive director for the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce will start his new job next week.

In a news release, the chamber says John Perks has been given the job, adding that he’s a successful entrepreneur and business executive, experienced fundraiser and dedicated public servant.

Prior to joining the chamber, Perks spent his career as a senior executive in international and national non-profits.

Perks is expected to start the job on Monday (March 25). His predecessor, Deb McClelland, resigned at the end of 2018.
