Alleged Williams Lake car thieves arrested walking down Coquihalla highway

MERRITT, B.C. — Three people were arrested near Merritt this morning in relation to a vehicle that was stolen from a Williams Lake car dealership.

According to an RCMP news release, the vehicle was stolen from Gustafson Kia on Tuesday (March 12).

Surveillance video helped investigators identify some suspects.

Early this morning, officers in Merritt were alerted to three people walking down the Coquihalla Highway, which was reported to be suspicious.

When officers arrived, they located the people and the stolen Kia.

Two men and a woman, all from the Williams Lake area, are facing a series of charges.
